These are pieces I have made as gifts. In the life of an artist there comes times [often] that one needs to make work to share. I also really like making work to barter and as presents. It gives me places to try new ideas and to experiment with techniques. [though often people end up with pictures of me....]

16" X 16" This is the donation for the Alliance for American Quilts I made this year. I won the prize! First place!!

95" X 93" 2010 This is a present I made for my sister. I took the idea for the quilting from full cloth quilts from around the turn of the last century and the graphic from contemporary graphic novel imagery. [It is an image of her] I wanted to combine the historical with the contemporary while making a utilitarian functional quilt for her to use.
