[Seattle Coffee #1] Space Needle detail

I was asked to put up a show in an iconic seattle coffee shop. I took this as an interesting design challenge. I took the bags they receive the coffee in and used them as the textile backing for my work. I then sent out the query for Seattle icons to sew on top of these bags. The show became the meeting of seattle iconography and the rough burlap of coffee import bags and international trade.
